The Role of Parents and Adults
While Troop 307 is Scout-led, meaning Youth-led, to achieve all the activities, there has to be lots of strong support from Parents and Adult leaders. We are always welcoming new volunteers to help!
Troop 307 Committee Troop 307 Committee handles all the administrative / business functions of running a Troop - from Troop-level fundraising, to supporting the Scoutmasters with camping logistics, to onboarding new Adult leaders and Scout families. Troop 307 Committee meets monthly on the 4th Thursdays of the month at 7p. Adult Leaders Adult leaders are adults who provide leadership to the Scouts as assistant Scoutmasters, Committee members, Advancement Coordinator, or just as additional adults to participate in campouts from time to time. All parents are eligible to become Adult leaders - you absolutely do not need any experience in Scouting to help! To become an adult leader, you'll need to:
